Trying to hablo en espanol =)

Even though English is an official language of Puerto Rico, Spanish is kinda the native language. So I'm brushing up on my old espanol from high school, so I can attempt very short conversations with the locals in their native language. Needless to say, studying has taken some time, but I'm trying...
Estoy aprendiendo mi espanol palabras. (I am learning my spanish words)

  2. Remember to use "acabar de" with an infinitive verb for anything past tense, so you avoid having to conjugate to the preterite (simple past) tense.(But you need to conjugate acabar: yo acabo or nosotros acabamos.) It's a great shortcut and it always worked for me. Nosotros acabamos de nadar ayer. (We just finished swimming yesterday.) Close enough! ;)XXX
